Job summary

LifeWorks Wellness Center in the United States is seeking a dedicated IV Infusion Registered Nurse to join our outpatient team. This pure infusion role focuses on administering IV therapies and managing complex patient needs with no bedside triage.

You will assess patients, document care, collaborate with care teams, and educate patients and families. A strong safety and quality focus, proficiency with EMR, and experience in varied nursing settings are highly valued.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience in IV infusion therapy required; familiarity with acute pain management preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Background in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine advantageous.
• Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and medical documentation practices.
• Proficiency with EHR systems.
• Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IV Infusion Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in providing high-quality patient care, particularly in administering IV infusions and managing complex patient needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in various nursing settings, including critical care and outpatient environments, and possess a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV infusions and monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Assist with procedures such as catheterization, phlebotomy, and suturing as needed.
• Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize EMR systems for patient records management.

Education/Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience in IV infusion therapy is required; familiarity with acute pain management is preferred.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practices.
• Proficiency with EHR systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including those with developmental disabilities or geriatric needs.
• Experience in various nursing settings such as long-term care, home health, hospice & palliative medicine, or outpatient clinics is beneficial.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required depending on the setting.
