HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support direct pharmacist supervision and provide high-quality drug therapy services. The role involves IV, chemo, and TPN handling, medication cart preparation, and routine discharge/transfer processing in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include rounds delivery, order filling for pharmacist review, inventory management, and cross-training of staff.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist-supervised pharmacotherapy education and drug therapy provision.
• IV cert and licensure compliance required.
• No travel is required for this role.
• No experience required for entry-level applicants.

Responsabilités

• Proactively communicates with manager on progress and needs.
• Deliver and pickup rounds to nursing units as required.
• Fill medication orders for pharmacist checking and deliver to nursing units.
• Process discharges/transfers including cart fill and IV medications.
• Reconcile IVs, Chemo, and TPNs; maintain inventory and expiration checks.
• Restock work area and prepare daily medication carts for RPh checking.
• Set daily medication carts for RPh checking and deliver post-check.
• Repackage non-unit-dose medications in Central.
• Generate and deliver computer reports to nursing units.
• Process specialty drug boxes (e.g., L&D) and check expiration areas.
• Maintain neat work area and ensure compliance with departmental policies.
• Assist in cross-training and onboarding of new staff; participate in in-services.
