Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare is seeking an LPN to provide nursing care, administer medications, and document care for a designated patient group under medical direction in Jackson, TN. The role includes IV therapy duties after appropriate training and compliance with infection control policies.

The position requires a vocational LPN program, state licensure as an LPN, BLS within orientation, and ongoing CEUs. Experience in pharmacology and clinical documentation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of vocational LPN program.
• Completion of intravenous therapy-training program.

Responsibilities

• Performs specified patient care with skill and minimal patient discomfort; organize patient flow and assist with exams and procedures.
• Administers medications, prepares for tests and surgeries, and assists providers per policy.
• Initiate IV access and administer IV fluids as required by policy.
• Ensure proper segregation and disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Receives and transcribes orders; documents care in patient records.
