Job summary

QED Systems Inc in Virginia Beach is seeking an Inventory and Warehouse Support Manager to lead warehousing operations, including shipping/receiving, packing, handling and transportation.

The role requires 5+ years of warehouse inventory experience (or 3 years with an associate’s degree), U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance. ESD handling and TAC data duties are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of warehouse inventory, packing, handling, and shipping experience; or 3 years with an associate’s degree.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Experience with ESD handling and training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehousing functions including shipping, receiving, packing, handling, and transportation.
• Operate material handling equipment and transportation assets.
• Manage Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) program and training.
• Provide TAC data to Government representatives.

Job Status: Full Time, Exempt – This position is a “Contingent Hire” position contingent upon a potential award of a new U.S. Navy contract to QED Systems.

Salary Range: $90,000/year- $115,000/year

Job Description: Individual will serve as an Inventory and Warehouse Support Manager. The Inventory and Warehouse Support Manager will manage all warehousing functions, including shipping & receiving, packing, handling, and transportation. The Inventory and Warehouse Support Manager will also be responsible to operate material handling equipment and transportation assets, manage the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling and training program, and provide Transportation Accounting Code (TAC) data to Government representatives.

Job Requirements/skill sets: Individual must have a minimum of 5 years of warehouse material inventory, packing, handling, and shipping experience or 3 years of inventory and warehouse material experience with an associate’s degree from an accredited institution.

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship is required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and be able to access U.S. Navy ships, military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
