Overview
IT/Technical – ITSM Developer role. Remote position associated with Job ID #213440. Pay rate: $71.43/hr.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of software solutions to support ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change, and service request management
- Assist in configuring and customizing ServiceNow to support ITSM processes, including creating custom tables, fields, and forms
- Develop and maintain scripts, workflows, and business rules to support ITSM process automation and data processing under the guidance of senior engineers
- Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other systems and tools, including APIs, web services, and data imports
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with ServiceNow and ITSM software solutions with the guidance of senior engineers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design software solutions that meet business needs
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for software solutions, including design documents, test plans, and implementation guides
- Stay up-to-date with new features and best practices in ServiceNow and ITSM software development
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizenship Required
- 2+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow configuration, customization, and development.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change, and service request management.
- Excellent technical skills, including: ServiceNow scripting (e.g., Business Rules, Client Scripts), ServiceNow configuration (e.g., tables, fields, forms)
- Experience with API design and development, data integration and import/export
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Desired Skills
- ServiceNow certifications (Developer, Administrator, or ITSM)
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and SaaS platforms
- Knowledge of ITSM industry trends and best practices
- Experience with testing and validation frameworks
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements
- Experience with ServiceNow Now Assist
Typical Minimums
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
