Job Description:

This is supervisory work involving a licensed Master Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting street lighting systems, traffic signals, ITS, and electrical services on state highways and bridges. Responsibilities include performing skilled electrical tasks according to trade standards, the National Electrical Code, and all applicable electrical regulations. The role includes supervising licensed electricians and providing direction to subordinate personnel, with work performed under limited supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid current Master Electrician's license.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
  • Maine Master Electrician's license issued by the Electrician's Examining Board.
  • Class B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Additional licenses or certifications such as Tank Installer license, Bucket Trucks, Backhoe Loaders, and Aerial Scissor Lifts certifications may be required depending on the position.
