Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
• ISTQB Foundation level (CTFL) certification required; Advanced levels DESIRED.
• Experience with IT environments and Navy Federal processes.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
• Experience in Systems Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and SAFe Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Create Test Plan documents utilizing Navy Federal Test Standards and templates.
• Perform analysis and interpret results, present recommendations, risks, and downstream impacts.
• Ensure clear communication including progress reports, test results, and defect reporting.
• Coordinate and perform testing of basic to moderately complex systems during SIT phase.
• Participate in SAFe Agile projects and contribute to sizing and estimation.
• Create and update manual test cases/scripts with automation in mind.
• Execute existing automated test cases and troubleshoot errors.
• Write end-to-end automated test cases independently.
• Document test results, defects, and sign-off per Navy Federal standards.
• Provide root-cause analysis for defects and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Hybrid in Vienna VA 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Create Test Plan documents utilizing Navy Federal Test Standards and templates
• Perform analysis and interpret results, present recommendations, potential alternatives, risks, and downstream impacts
• Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication including progress reports, test case or plan documentation, root-cause defect reporting, risks, blockers, etc., to facilitate accurate understanding of testing activities
• Coordinate and perform testing of basic to moderately complex systems during the System Integration Testing phase
• Participate in moderately complex System Development Life Cycles activities utilizing SAFe Agile best practices and methodologies
• Participate in sizing and estimation for projects and changes
• Create and/or update manual test case/scripts within the approved and appropriate test tool(s) for basic to moderately complex non-integrated & simple integrated systems
• Build basic to moderately complex manual test case/scripts with automation in mind following established test management guidelines
• Execute existing automated test case/scripts
• Solution and update basic automation test case/scripts and trouble shoot errors
• Write end to end basic automated test case/scripts independently, ensuring adherence to established policies and best practices
• Create all required documentation (test results, knowledge articles, sign-off, etc.) following Navy Federal Testing Standards, tools and templates
• Provide detailed documentation of defects/bugs, follow established defect/bug lifecycle procedures and policies to ensure test case evidence of successful resolution without collateral impacts
• Perform root cause analysis for identified defects/bugs and provide detailed documentation to developers for solutioning
• Collaborate with peers, Developers, business partners and any other stakeholders to ensure business needs are communicated, documented, and satisfied
• Perform analysis related to changes in policies, procedures, and products; determine downstream impacts on testing
• Analyze and identify process, data or technology improvement opportunities, provide recommendations to include risk considerations and downstream impacts
• Provide recommendations related to testing practices to facilitate process optimization
• Participate in project and product team meetings, collaborating and contributing while maintaining line of sight on goals and objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience
