Job Description

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

1. Ensure the successful completion of end-to-end project work, including all work products.
2. Oversee projects comprising multiple deliverables, including delegating and coordinating tasks.
3. Create and manage the integrated project plan, execute the plan, monitor project status, conduct meetings, handle scope changes, track and mitigate risks and issues, and coordinate across project teams.
4. Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and project teams.
5. Manage scope, resources, timelines, costs/budgets, quality, communication, and procurement to meet project goals.
6. Develop and execute training on standard project management practices, facilitate project governance and reporting, and create models to improve business decisions.
7. Handle extensive changes to existing functionalities or implement new applications and technologies.

Requirements

1. Proficient with MS Project and MS Project Server for managing multi-million dollar projects with multi-year durations.
2. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with project teams, management, executive management, and external organizations.
3. Proven planning and management skills, including scope estimation and control, budgeting, testing, quality assurance, and resource allocation.
4. Experience with project risk management, including failure mode effect analysis and planning.
5. Experience implementing solutions utilizing third-party vendors and products.
6. Project management experience with in-house and third-party development solutions.
7. Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
8. Experience in contract and vendor management.
9. Preferred: Government IT project management experience.
