Job summary

Lynn Public Schools in Lynn, MA is hiring a Speech and Language Pathologist - Itinerant to support students across all grade levels. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and providing language and articulation services within integrated classrooms.

The position requires Massachusetts licensure in Speech and Hearing Disabilities and ASHA Certification; Clinical Fellows are welcome. Bilingual skills helpful; full-time, school-year schedule.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts licensure in Speech and Hearing Disabilities (all levels).
• ASHA Certification (Clinical Fellows considered).
• Massachusetts Board of Allied Health licensure or eligibility.
• School and Urban experience preferred.
• Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and document student speech and language needs and eligibility for services.
• Plan and implement IEPs and 504 plans for communication services.
• Monitor progress and prepare progress reports per requirements.
• Present results at Team Meetings and set goals for treatment.
• Provide individual or small group speech therapy aligns with diverse learners.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to support communication goals.
• Complete Medicaid logging monthly and use varied teaching strategies.
• Attend monthly Speech Therapy Department meetings and maintain high standards.
