Job summary

Servingschools in Oxford, ME seeks an Itinerant Teacher of Children with Disabilities for ages 3-5. This 40-hour-per-week calendar-year role involves working with preschool children with disabilities, travel between sites, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to implement individualized services.

Responsibilities include developmentally appropriate instruction, family communication, and contributing to IFSP/IEP plans while ensuring services meet IDEA requirements and Maine

Qualifications

• Must hold 282B PRE-K endorsement for Teacher of Children with Disabilities.
• Successful background, criminal records, and reference check.

Responsibilities

• Engages children in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Provides instruction at the child’s developmental level.
• Communicates relevant information to the IFSP/IEP team and family.
• Contributes goals and short-term objectives to IFSP/IEP plans.
• Maintains required reports for therapy and MaineCare compliance.
• Collaborates with CDS Case Managers and other providers.
