Job summary

Mineral County Schools seeks an ITINERANT AIDE/EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM ASSISTANT TEACHER for Grades 1-3 at Keyser Primary School. The role runs 200 days with a schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM, including potential transportation duties.

Salary ranges from $28,765 to $43,650 based on experience per the Mineral County Salary Schedule. The ideal candidate holds ECCAT I–III certificates, meets WV Code requirements, and will undergo background checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent per WV Code §18A-2-5.
• WV Code qualifications met; state-approved competency requirements for ECCAT certificates.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and distribution of materials; conduct learning activities with small groups or individuals.
• Provide supervision of students on the school bus when assigned, ensuring safety and proper conduct.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with state laws and district policies; support a safe learning environment.
• Participate in bus duty, hall monitoring, lunchroom duty, and other duties as assigned.
