Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space, Cape Canaveral, Florida, seeks a Level 2 Items Analyst to manage inventory, support equipment modernization projects, and coordinate with DoD and suppliers. The role requires experience in inventory management and logistics, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

You will forecast budgets, prepare status reports, and ensure asset fidelity across the lifecycle of mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Work experience in Inventory Management, Logistics and/or Supply Chain.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, and/or Access.
• Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level.

Responsibilities

• Bee the primary contact for Support Equipment modernization projects and associated Logistics products
• Interact with internal/external senior personnel on matters requiring coordination between organizations
• Coordinate status reports and metrics relating to supplier performance and obsolescence mitigation
• Assure inventory sufficiency for mission requirements throughout the life cycle of supported systems
• Position customer inventories, especially under PBL and TSPR contracts
• Respond to military service inquiries
• Understand and use various inventory optimization models
• Forecast and manage budget requirements
• Interface with DoD information management systems
• Resolve technical and support problems for assigned classes of items by interfacing engineering and suppliers

Our facility at Cape Canaveral on Florida's Space Coast has an immediate opportunity for a level 2 Items Analyst to join our mission. In this role, you will...

• Bee the primary contact for Support Equipment modernization projects and associated Logistics products
• Interact with internal/external senior personnel on matters requiring coordination between organizations
• Coordinate status reports and metrics relating to supplier performance and obsolescence mitigation
• Assure inventory sufficiency for mission requirements throughout the life cycle of supported systems
• Position customer inventories, especially under the conditions of performance-based logistics (PBL) and total system performance responsibility (TSPR) contracts
• Coordinate movement of operating inventory to include suppliers, repair facilities, 3RPLs and customer locations, including priority interpretation, inventory allocation and asset redistribution as necessary among sources of supply and military operating locations
• Respond to military service inquiries
• Support requests for proposals and provisioning determinations
• Understand and use various inventory optimization models
• Forecast and manage budget requirements
• Interface with company and DoD information management systems
• Ensure fidelity of asset identification
• Resolve technical and support problems for assigned classes of items by actively interfacing engineering and suppliers

Basic Qualifications

• Work experience in Inventory Management, Logistics and/or Supply Chain
• Experience using Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, and/or Access
• Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level

Desired Skills

• Active Secret security clearance
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education (such as Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain)
• Work experience with Enterprise Resource Planning tools and/or Supply Chain Management Systems
• Work experience with Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Shelf Life Management, Property, and FAR/DFARS Compliance
• The candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude who is able to take ownership of projects with limited supervision
• Strong communication (both verbal and written)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $59900.00 - $111300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
