Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent litigation experience; Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of IP litigation paralegal experience, including substantial ITC matters
  • Solid trial and arbitration experience, including direct involvement in ITC proceedings
  • Experience with ITC filings, procedures, rules, and Section 337 investigation processes
  • Strong desire to focus on ITC-related work
  • High proficiency with LexisNexis, Westlaw, PACER, EDIS, and USPTO systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based collaboration tools
  • In-depth experience with e-discovery and litigation support software (Relativity, Concordance, IPRO, LiveNote, CaseMap, TimeMap, DTSearch)
  • Solid experience with case/matter management systems and database tools
  • Expert research skills using online and government resources
  • Ability to prepare motions in limine, jury instructions, verdict forms, witness lists, exhibit lists, and trial binders
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter while taking direction effectively
  • Ability to work courteously and efficiently with attorneys, clients, staff, vendors, and peers
  • Strong command of timekeeping, expense reporting, and legal billing practices
  • Willingness to collaborate as a team player on cases and department projects

Role Overview

The ITC Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys and the Litigation Paralegals department by maintaining the integrity of case information, independently handling complex litigation tasks, and ensuring procedural accuracy with a primary focus on Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). The position also drafts and reviews legal documents, coordinates case workflows, and oversees the timely and compliant closure of matters in accordance with firm policies and procedures.

The role is based in any of our U.S. offices and requires a hybrid/onsite work schedule. The base annual pay range for this role is between $70,000 - $90,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
