Job summary

Right at Home South Shore Long Island is seeking an English/Italian-speaking caregiver for an Oceanside client. The role requires fluency in Italian as it is the client’s sole language. Immediate start is available with hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10am to 3pm.

The position is open to a companion, home health aide, or personal care assistant. Benefits include 401k, referral bonuses for caregivers and clients, PCA training, and weekly pay with direct deposit.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Italian is essential for communication with the client.
• Valid NY state driver's license required.
• Reliable transportation is needed for site visits.
• Experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care including meals, hygiene, and mobility.
• Engage in meaningful Italian-language conversation to support emotional well-being.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation tailored to client preferences.
• Accompany client to appointments or outings, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor changes in health or mood and report to care coordinator.
