Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking Italian interpreters for the Monmouth, NJ area. As an independently contracted interpreter, you will facilitate communication for LEP communities in varied settings, joining a network that values excellence.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in English and Italian.
• High level of client service.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service.
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct and confidentiality.
• Follow policies, interpretation protocols, and best practices.
• Meet clearance requirements as requested by clients.
• Report on-site to accepted assignments promptly.

As a member of LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. LSA is continuously accepting qualified interpreters for a wide range of interpreting assignments!

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
• Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients
• Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner
• Access to personal or public transport

Qualifications/Experience

• Full fluency in both English and Italian
• The ability to provide a high level of client service
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
