Job summary

Dell Technologies is offering a 10-week summer internship for a Dell IT Intern to learn from experienced engineers, architects, data scientists, and product leaders while building intelligent solutions.

Inside this role you will develop software, explore Generative AI, and contribute to cloud-native platforms, collaborating across teams to deliver measurable value and gain hands-on experience in AI, data, and enterprise technologies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing abachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Machine Learning
• Strong foundationin software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
• Proficiencyin at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C++
• Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence through coursework, projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, or personal initiatives
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts including LLMs, AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, prompt engineering, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software applications, AI-powered tools, or intelligent workflows used by employees and customers
• Support the design and implementation of Generative AI, AI assistant, and automation solutions
• Explore and apply technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Contribute to cloud-native applications and enterprise-scale platforms
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, data scientists, and business stakeholders
• Participate in testing, debugging, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities

Throughout the internship, participants gain hands-on experience in software engineering, AI, data, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms while developing the foundational skills needed for future technology leadership opportunities within Dell IT.

Depending on business needs, your day-to-day role may include

Essential Requirements

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitablecompensation practices. This role pays $24.60-30.75 per hour
