Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking a full-time Director of IT Applications, Development & Data to joins its team. The Director of IT Applications, Development & Data provides strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s organizational business applications and data environment by directing application architecture, development, integration, support, security, governance, standards, vendor partnerships, project delivery, and budget planning. This role partners closely with business leaders to align technology solutions with organizational priorities, evolving business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.

This is an in-person position in Roseville, Minnesota.

Reporting STRUCTURE

The Director of IT Applications, Development & Data reports directly to the Vice President of Information Technology.

Responsibilities

The Director ensures supported platforms are reliable, secure, scalable, and customer-focused while advancing data governance, enabling informed decision-making, supporting the workforce and residents, and fostering the growth and development of staff in support of Presbyterian Homes & Services’ mission and operating philosophies.

Responsibilties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and evolve the organizational application architecture, solution designs, and technology roadmaps across business applications, integrations, and related tools in alignment with PHS strategic and 2040 goals.
  • Provide strategic leadership and accountability for the Application Support, IT Business Partner, and Application & Data Engineering functions, including team performance, capability development, and service excellence.
  • Oversee governance, prioritization, and strategic alignment of the organizational applications portfolio and related data capabilities to support business objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Own, maintain, and oversee organizational data governance practices, including data quality, stewardship, and appropriate use of organizational information assets.
  • Own, develop, implement, maintain, and oversee organizational Artificial Intelligence strategy
  • Architect and oversee supported application, development and data technologies, including availability, reporting, analytics, and integration capabilities, to meet organizational and customer needs.
  • Lead the execution of business application development, integration, deployment, upgrade, and enhancement initiatives using Agile methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, documentation, support, and lifecycle management of organizational platforms and related technologies.
  • Establish, document, maintain, and enforce standards, operating processes, and governance for the selection, implementation, documentation, support, intake, prioritization, escalation, and performance measurement of IT systems.
  • Manage third-party vendor and support relationships for the maintenance of the existing applications portfolio, including performance, contracts, renewals, and escalations.
  • Provide project management leadership and governance for application and data initiatives, partnering with the Project Management Office and business leaders on change management and successful delivery.
  • Partner with business units to develop, recommend, manage, and track annual operating, capital, and multi-year budgets for the acquisition, support, and ongoing sustainment of applications and data platforms.
  • Monitor changes in business objectives and industry and technology trends, and align application architecture, priorities, risks, and progress to support workforce and resident needs.
  • Develop short- and long-term technology strategies that promote stewardship of resources and ensure high availability, reliability, continuous improvement, and exceptional service to customers.
  • Manage the performance management process (recruitment, selection, orientation, supervision, evaluation, and termination) that achieves desired outcomes and encourages individual development. Ensure a performance management process is in place for direct reports. Create and maintain a work environment for employees that is conducive to high productivity and morale. Establish and maintain effective communication systems with employees. Provide ongoing employee educational and development opportunities which meet regulatory requirements and opportunities for growth.

Pay Range
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $136,594 to $170,747 yearly. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends upon many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
