IT Technician II Site Services
Huntsman is seeking a IT Technician II Site Services supporting the IT Division located in Los Angeles, CA. This position will report to the IT Manager Sr l Site Services Mgmt Americas.
Job Scope
The IT Technician II Site Services will provide technical services and support for business systems and applications.
In summary, as the IT Technician II Site Services, you will:
- Support site functions, roles and initiatives as assigned.
- Assist in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications.
- Be responsible for incident and request management using ITSM tools.
- Duties/tasks are standardized.
- Resolve routine questions/problems and refer more complex issues to higher levels.
- Work under direct supervision and follow established procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Maintain respect for confidentiality.
- Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed.
- If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
- Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
- Assist other employees in the accomplishment of Huntsman company goals. Follow instructions and perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participate in and complete company-required training programs.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 3+ years related work experience in Information Technology, Business Administration or Technology Management.
- 3+ years of foundational experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Application Analysis,
- Debugging,
- Functional Analysis,
- Programming,
- Software Design,
- Software Testing,
- Software Documentation,
- Programming Language,
- Software Requirements Specification,
- Integrated Development Environment (IDE),
- Software Bug Tracking Software.
Skills and Knowledge
- Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email and Microsoft Programs.
- Competent in written and spoken English; any other languages are a plus.
- Ability to operate in a rapidly changing, very complex technical environment.
- Demonstrated customer focus, empathy, and structured thinking are required, together with high standards of process adherence and a proven record of client satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Huntsman’s policy/compliance framework, business processes, reporting procedures and existing and planned information systems and services for the sites in which they operate.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Keep up to date with technological advances.
- Communicate tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintain effective work relations with those encountered during employment.

Preferred Qualifications
- At least one of the following industry standard certifications:
- Security+
- CCNA
- Network+
- MCSE
- Or other relevant industry standard certificates.
