Northwest Career College seeks an IT Technician Instructor to teach IT Technician courses, assess and grade exams, and participate in campus events in Henderson and Las Vegas. The role supports per diem schedules and requires professional dress and effective communication skills.

The position requires an undergraduate degree and at least three years of relevant IT experience, plus CompTIA Tech+, A+ Core 1, and A+ Core 2 within 75 days. Benefits include health, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years non-overlapping IT field experience with IT degree or related field (transcripts required).
• IT Certification: CompTIA Tech+, CompTIA A+ Core 1 & Core 2 within 75 days of employment.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and to communicate clearly, in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Teach IT Technician courses per lesson plan and syllabus.

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for teaching. Must have three years of experience in the field working as an IT Technician.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Teach IT Technician courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor


• Prepare and grade written and practical examinations


• Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College


• Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code


• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


• All other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Minimum of three years non-overlapping experience in the field with an Information Technology degree (transcript) or a degree (transcript) in a related field, OR


• Minimum of three years non-overlapping experience in the field with completion of an Information Technology training program (can be diploma (transcript)-level if it covers the same topic areas as NCC) PLUS a degree (transcript) (can be unrelated to IT), AND


• IT Certification CompTIA Tech+, CompTIA A+ Core 1, and CompTIA A+ Core 2 (within 75 days of employment)


• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations


• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing


• Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
