Job summary

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is seeking an IT professional to maintain Micros POS and related hardware/software across the resort operations. The role includes processing Micros changes, managing data retention, and ensuring proper configuration in collaboration with the retail manager.

You will support a seven-day IT coverage plan, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold Loews hotel IT policies. Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, plus Retail/F&B POS experience, is

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of software and hardware operating systems to include Windows OS and MAC OS.
• Management and operation of Retail POS and F&B POS (Micros).
• Knowledge of network architecture and system design.
• Effective organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Micros system hardware and software.
• Correct database issues throughout the Micros system.
• Process all Micros changes and menu configuration requests.
• Organize proper retention of historical data to disk or tape.
• Fix or replace non-operational equipment.
• Maintain the retail systems hardware and software.
• Fix or replace defective hardware.
• Work with the retail manager to ensure proper configuration.
• Cover weekend hours as part of a seven-day I.T. coverage plan.
• Establish and conduct a preventive maintenance schedule for all printers and PCs.
• Collect a hardware inventory for comparison to our automated list.
• Manage and administer all Loews Hotel policies as they relate to the I.T. department.

About Lakewood Regional Support

The regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of both POS systems and will also provide a wider coverage area. The position reports directly to the I.T. Director.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
