IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER (WINDOWS ENDPOINT)

SpaceX is seeking an experienced Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our organization's Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune infrastructure. This includes ensuring the smooth operation of our endpoint management systems, deploying and managing software updates, and maintaining the security and compliance of our devices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune infrastructure, including architecture, configuration, and maintenance
  • Deploy and manage software updates, patches, and applications to endpoints using MECM and Intune
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry regulations, such as CIS and NIST
  • Configure and manage Intune policies, including device configuration, compliance, and conditional access
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with MECM and Intune, including client-side and server-side problems
  • Develop and maintain documentation of MECM and Intune configurations, including technical guides and troubleshooting procedures
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, such as desktop support and security, to ensure seamless integration and support
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies and trends, including new features and releases of MECM and Intune
  • Provide training and support to end-users and other IT staff on Configuration Manager and Intune-related topics
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning to ensure Configuration Manager and Intune infrastructure is redundant and recoverable

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or other technical field of study and 3+ years of systems engineering experience, OR 5+ years of systems engineering experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, including Windows 11 and Windows Server

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Microsoft certifications in relevant areas (e.g. Windows, MECM, Intune)
  • Experience with custom PowerShell module development and CI/CD style implementations
  • Advanced PowerShell proficiency, including proficiency in writing, debugging, optimizing scripts, module development and CI/CD pipeline implementations
  • Familiarity with interacting with Microsoft Graph API, including experience with authentication, querying, and manipulating data using Graph API endpoints, and understanding of Graph API's role in integrating with Azure AD, Intune, and other Microsoft services
  • Experience with querying and writing reports for SIEM platforms like Splunk, to support the team's security monitoring and incident response efforts
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance regulations, such as NIST and PCI-DSS
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range:
IT Systems Engineer: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks . You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.
