IT/Systems Engineer — Technical Operations
A broad, hands-on mid-to-senior IT role on ZenithFlow's Technical Operations team, reporting to the VP of Engineering. Responsible for keeping the infrastructure behind CognitiveOS and internal systems reliable, secure, and fast — spanning cloud/systems administration, networking, identity, security, and internal IT support. Suited to someone who likes owning systems end-to-end and takes pride in reliability.
Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and maintain cloud compute, storage, and networking (secure and cost-aware)
- Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent) and write scripts to eliminate manual toil
- Own Linux server administration, patching, and hardening, plus core services (DNS, load balancing, certificates)
- Build and tune monitoring/observability so issues are caught early with meaningful alerts
- Lead or support incident response and write blameless postmortems that drive real fixes
- Administer identity and access — SSO, MFA, role-based access across cloud/SaaS tools (least-privilege)
- Support internal IT: endpoint provisioning, device security, onboarding/offboarding
- Strengthen security/compliance posture: backups, disaster-recovery procedures, controls
Requirements
- 4+ years in systems/infrastructure engineering, IT ops, SRE, or related
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) — compute, networking, IAM
- Strong Linux administration and command-line troubleshooting
- Practical infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) and Git
- Scripting ability in Bash plus at least one language (Python or Go)
- Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, VPNs, firewalls) and debugging skill
- Monitoring/incident experience (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar) with calm incident judgment
- Security-first mindset: least privilege, secrets management, defense in depth
