Job summary

Marshall+Sterling is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our IT help desk at the Poughkeepsie office. You will be the first point of contact for technical issues and support employees and our technology stack including Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktops, Salesforce, Vertafore, and more.

Ideal candidates have a degree in IT or related field, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and flexibility to work after hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in IT support, systems engineering, or related technical role.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus.
• Willingness to work overnight and weekends as required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to Marshall+Sterling offices for upgrades.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize disruption to business operations.
• Daily checks of off-site spam, attachment, and content filters.
• Troubleshoot access and performance issues with the cloud desktop environment.
• Manage help desk tickets to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to respond to urgent employee support issues.
• Support technology rollouts, upgrades, and testing.

We’re seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our IT help desk. This role is the first point of contact for technical issues and plays a vital role in supporting our employees and technology infrastructure, including Microsoft O365, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktops, Salesforce, Vertafore, and other business-critical platforms. • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Travel to Marshall+Sterling offices as needed to provide on-site support for technology upgrades and rollouts.

Preferred:

• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
• Experience with Vertafore (AMS360, ImageRight) or Salesforce.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NYDFS, SOC 2, HIPAA).

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000, based on experience, education, and work location.
