Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an IT Systems Engineer III to join the IT Infrastructure team in a hybrid role, primarily on-site in the Phoenix area with some remote tasks. Role requires Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedules, focusing on designing and implementing structured cabling and IT rooms to support evolving technology needs.

You will lead infrastructure projects, enforce cabling standards, and partner with teams to ensure reliable, scalable systems that meet healthcare industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
• Four to seven years of healthcare experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to mentor and guide teams.
• Experience in planning and delivering medium-scale projects.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, hardware and applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale IT infrastructure projects from planning to implementation.
• Develop defined project plans, work schedules, and critical path timelines.
• Monitor installed systems and infrastructure per SOPs and guidelines.
• Perform high-level root-cause analysis for service interruptions and implement preventive measures.
• Design and implement structured cabling systems and IT rooms to meet needs.
• Provide technical information on current and future industry concepts; lead feasibility studies and capital budget planning.
• Communicate updates and train end users; facilitate rollout of new systems and applications.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance.
• Support change programs and drive continuous improvements in processes and services.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
