Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a detail‑oriented Systems Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team in Walker, MI. You will design, implement, and support core server infrastructure across Windows Server and Linux, manage AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, PKI, and System Center, and drive automation and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in IT or related field required.
• 3+ years of network/support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Experience with virtualization (Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V) and SAN is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer infrastructure solutions for Windows and Linux.
• Administer and optimize AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Manage virtualization platforms and SAN storage.
• Monitor system health, perform capacity planning, and document procedures.
• Ensure security through patching and threat monitoring.
• Support on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work.
