Job description

Fancy working for a company that's actually making a difference in healthcare?

I'm working with a client in the Women\'s Health, Fertility & Digital Health space, and they\'re looking for a talented Senior IT Systems Engineer to join their team!

And no, this isn\'t one of those IT roles where you\'ll spend your days resetting passwords and troubleshooting someone\'s printer.

They\'re looking for someone who wants to build, improve, automate, and genuinely influence the technology behind a growing global healthcare business.

First, a little about the company...

My client is an established, innovative Digital Health company transforming how people access fertility, reproductive healthcare, and family-building support.

Their platform combines technology, clinical expertise, and personalised healthcare to help individuals navigate some of life\'s most important healthcare journeys.

Think everything from fertility treatments and IVF to pregnancy, postpartum support, and menopause care.

They work with major international employers, health plans, and healthcare organisations, helping make specialist healthcare more accessible to individuals around the world.

With a significant global presence, an established enterprise customer base, and continued investment in their technology, they\'re operating at an exciting scale.

And behind all of that? A whole lot of technology that needs to be secure, scalable, and running smoothly.

That\'s where you come in!

The role – what will you actually be doing?

You\'ll be taking ownership of the systems and infrastructure that support a global, remote-first workforce.

This is a hands-on engineering position with plenty of technical ownership, opportunities to lead projects, and the chance to influence the wider IT strategy.

You\'ll be:

  • Owning and scaling identity, endpoint, and SaaS platforms, including Okta, JAMF, Intune, and Google Workspace.
  • Leading major technical projects, including zero-trust security initiatives, endpoint modernisation, and device compliance frameworks.
  • Building automation using scripting, APIs, and infrastructure as code to eliminate repetitive manual processes.
  • Working closely with Information Security on vulnerability management, security controls, and compliance requirements including SOC 2 and HIPAA.
  • Managing complex technical challenges, acting as a senior escalation point and leading root cause analysis.
  • Improving IT standards, documentation, processes, and engineering best practices.
  • Mentoring other engineers and sharing your technical expertise across the team.
  • Evaluating new technologies and helping decide which tools and platforms the business should invest in.
  • Contributing to the IT roadmap, with a genuine voice in technical decisions and future infrastructure strategy.
What am I looking for?

Someone who\'s technically strong, enjoys solving complex problems, and doesn\'t need to be told what to do every five minutes.

Ideally, you\'ll bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in IT Systems Engineering, Endpoint Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Okta, JAMF, Intune, and Google Workspace.
  • Expertise in identity and access management, including SSO, SCIM, conditional access, and user lifecycle automation.
  • Experience managing and securing both Mac and Windows environments.
  • Solid scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience implementing security controls, vulnerability management, and zero-trust principles.
  • A track record of independently leading technical projects from design through implementation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Extra brownie points if you have...
  • Experience working within Women\'s Health, Digital Health, Healthcare Technology, or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure as code and CI/CD experience.
  • Experience supporting large, distributed, remote-first teams.
  • Exposure to AI-powered IT automation or workflow optimisation.
  • Relevant Okta, JAMF, or Microsoft certifications.

Not ticking every single box? Don\'t panic. If you\'ve got the core technical experience and think you\'d be a strong fit, I\'d still love to hear from you.

What does success look like?

Over your first 12-18 months, you\'ll have the opportunity to:

  • Establish scalable standards across identity, endpoint, and SaaS management.
  • Deliver major security and infrastructure improvements.
  • Reduce manual IT workloads through automation.
  • Strengthen the company\'s security and compliance posture.
  • Help develop the technical capabilities of the wider IT team.
  • Build systems that can support continued international growth.
Why would you want to join?

Because this is much more than just another IT job.

You\'ll be joining a company operating at the intersection of healthcare and technology, with products that have a meaningful impact on people\'s lives.

You\'ll have:

  • Real ownership – The opportunity to influence how systems are designed, implemented, and scaled.
  • Global environment – Supporting an international, remote-first business.
  • Interesting technical challenges – From zero-trust architecture to complex automation and security projects.
  • A voice in decision-making – Helping shape the technology roadmap rather than simply following instructions.
  • A meaningful mission – Working for a company helping improve access to reproductive and family healthcare.

If you\'re an experienced IT Systems Engineer who enjoys getting stuck into the technical details but also wants to have a genuine impact on the bigger picture, I\'d love to hear from you.
