CesiumAstro, based in Florida, seeks an Information Technology Systems Administrator II to be the face of the IT department. You will support Windows and Ubuntu desktops, servers, and lab systems while collaborating with engineers across our space-tech environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in MIS/IT or related field.
2+ years in corporate information technology.
Extensive experience administering Windows and Linux systems.
Good base knowledge of networking.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Proficiency with Ubuntu, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019 & 2022, VMware ESXi, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, WSL, and Active Directory.
Experience with automated management tools.

Responsibilities

Build, deploy, and administer Windows and Ubuntu desktops, laptops, servers, and lab systems, including virtual machines.
Support Windows and Linux machines in an Active Directory environment.
Manage network and online file storage.
Respond to issues via our ticketing system.
Maintain hardware, software, and licensing inventory and baselines.
Configure and maintain conferencing A/V setups and digital signage.
Keep documentation up to date.
Identify software and infrastructure needs and suggest solutions.
