Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Administrator in the United States to manage servers, networks, storage, and virtualization platforms. You will install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, monitor performance and security, and ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive experience with Windows/Linux/Unix, virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V), SAN/NAS/RAID storage, and ERP SAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of working experience in IT infrastructure.
• 5 years of relevant IT experience in systems administration and operations.
• GCC experience is a plus (regional exposure).
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Experience with server virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with storage technologies (SAN/NAS/RAID).
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.

• Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to protect against data loss and system failures
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving IT‑related issues promptly and effectively
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to evaluate new technologies, recommend solutions, and implement system enhancements
• Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance with industry best practices
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in IT systems administration, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

• 5 year(s) relevant working experience
• 2 year(s) GCC is a plus
• Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Unix
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs
• Experience with server virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper‑V
