Job description

At REGENT, we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We're not just building vehicles, we're creating a new category of transportation: the Seaglider. These groundbreaking wing-in-ground-effect craft travel just above the water’s surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 miles at 180 mph on today's battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next-gen batteries), Seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo - connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before.

Backed by leading investors and powered by a team of passionate, forward-thinking engineers, builders, and operators, we’re now scaling from a breakthrough prototype to full production - and building the team to make it happen.

Role Overview

REGENT is building a new category of vehicle, and the technology our teams rely on every day needs to keep pace as we grow. As our IT Systems Administrator, you'll help keep REGENT running - supporting the people, devices, accounts, and applications that enable our teams to stay focused on bringing Seagliders to market.

This is a hands‑on role in an evolving, fast‑moving startup environment. You'll be a first point of contact for IT support, troubleshoot issues from intake through resolution, provision and off‑board accounts and devices, support access reviews, and administer the cloud platforms and SaaS applications our teams depend on across our sites. You'll independently handle routine IT needs while partnering with the Director, IT & Infrastructure on more complex, security‑sensitive, or compliance‑related issues.

As REGENT grows, our IT environment will continue to evolve with us. We're looking for someone who can learn quickly, adapt as priorities change, and take pride in getting the details right - while looking for practical ways to make our systems and processes easier, more reliable, and more scalable.

If you enjoy solving problems, helping people, and being part of the team that makes it possible for a growing company to move quickly, this is an opportunity to build broad hands‑on experience across IT systems, identity, endpoint management, and regulated environments while directly supporting REGENT's mission.

What You’ll Do
  • Be the first line of IT support. Serve as a first point of contact for help desk requests across our sites and remote users, triaging and resolving Tier 1 and Tier 2 tickets within service‑level targets and escalating effectively when additional support is needed.

  • Manage identity and device lifecycle work. Provision accounts and devices for new hires, support offboarding, administer routine account and group changes, manage device enrollment and compliance policies, and help keep our device fleet healthy and accurately inventoried.

  • Conduct access reviews. Perform periodic reviews of user accounts, group memberships, and access assignments; resolve routine discrepancies; and elevate exceptions that require a policy, security, or risk decision.

  • Administer cloud and SaaS platforms. Manage day‑to‑day settings, user access, licenses, and routine administration across cloud environments, productivity suites, and SaaS applications, and support the migration of collaboration tools to government‑authorized cloud environments.

  • Support endpoint and security operations. Review security alerts and log events, monitor patch compliance through our mobile device management tools, help remediate out‑of‑policy devices, recognize activity that may require further investigation, and support multi‑factor authentication enforcement.

  • Keep documentation audit‑ready. Maintain accurate records of IT procedures, account changes, device configurations, exceptions, and non‑standard setups, and contribute to runbooks, standard operating procedures, knowledge‑base articles, and GRC evidence supporting CMMC requirements.

  • Make our systems better as you go. Identify recurring issues and help turn them into better documentation, self‑service resources, process improvements, or automations. Look for opportunities to improve help desk, onboarding, and offboarding workflows so our IT operations can scale with the company.

What You’ll Bring
  • Help desk and ticketing experience. You can independently troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues, manage support tickets through resolution, communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical users, and recognize when an issue needs to be escalated.

  • Identity and directory administration experience. You're comfortable with routine provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, accounts, groups, and permissions and understand how they work together.

  • Device lifecycle and mobile device management (MDM) experience. You have experience supporting device enrollment, configuration, inventory, compliance monitoring, and remediation throughout the device lifecycle.

  • Endpoint security fundamentals. You understand common endpoint security concepts, can work through established procedures when alerts or compliance issues arise, and know when unusual activity should be escalated.

  • Strong IT documentation habits. You can create and maintain clear procedures, configuration records, troubleshooting documentation, and knowledge‑base articles, and understand why accurate documentation matters in a regulated environment.

  • A reliable, detail‑oriented approach. You follow through on what you start, stay organized across multiple requests, pay attention to the details, and surface questions, risks, or blockers early rather than letting them sit.

  • Bonus:

    • Regulated‑environment exposure. Familiarity with CMMC, NIST SP 800‑171, or another regulated environment is helpful, but not required.

    • Exposure to identity providers (IdPs), MDM administration, network fundamentals such as VLANs, RADIUS/802.1X, and basic firewall concepts, or scripting and automation for provisioning and reporting. You'll have opportunities to build deeper experience in these areas as REGENT grows.

Who We’re Looking For
  • Collaborative Team Player: You enjoy helping people and know that great IT support starts with understanding what someone is trying to accomplish. You communicate clearly, work well with teammates across different functions and levels of technical experience, and approach problems with patience and a service mindset.

  • Creative Problem Solver: You like figuring out why something isn't working and aren't afraid to dig into an unfamiliar problem. You troubleshoot methodically, ask good questions, and look beyond the immediate fix when there's an opportunity to prevent the issue from happening again.

  • Adaptable & Agile: You're comfortable working in a startup where priorities, systems, and processes will continue to evolve. You can shift between an urgent support request and planned work, learn new tools quickly, and stay organized when multiple things are moving at once.

  • Innovative Mindset: You're curious about technology and interested in finding better ways to work. You look for opportunities to use new tools, automation, and smarter processes to reduce repetitive work, improve the employee experience, and help our IT operations scale with REGENT.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation, including a robust equity incentive plan.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance — we cover 100% of your premiums.

  • 401(k) with company matching, so you can plan for the future.

  • Generous flexible time off, paid parental leave, and company‑wide holiday breaks.

  • Relocation packages available for those moving to join our team.

  • Daily free catered lunches.

  • Learning and professional development opportunities.
