Job summary

Applied Research Laboratory at the Penn State University is seeking undergraduate students to assist with systems administration and support across computer systems, operating systems, servers, appliances and specialized environments.

You will gain exposure to Windows and Linux in a domain environment, perform upgrades, patching and documentation tasks, and contribute to security and reliability of lab infrastructure while working part-time during fall/spring and full-time during summer.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, customer service, technical writing, and organizational skills.
• Experience in areas such as end-user technical support; computer networking; diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving computing issues; installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and supporting technical hardware and software; OS and software patching; documentation and technical writing.
