To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Hill's Topeka Plant's Computer/Server Systems and its related software. To coordinate with the corporate IT department for rolling out of corporate initiated directives. To facilitate the deployment and removal of new computer equipment.

What you will do

  • Execute all plant systems projects in the area of expertise (SAP or Wonderware) in the assigned plant. Provide the technical expertise to configure, maintain and troubleshoot all plant systems at the assigned plant.
  • Provide guidance and training to plant operations to foster utilization.
  • Enforce standards that ensure global consistency of manufacturing and integration systems.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with the regional IT, SSO and ISM teams.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with the plant leadership teams, engineering teams, plant operations teams and quality teams.
  • Actively participate in the global plant systems integrator’s network.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience with computer software/hardware related equipment and networking.
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix software and operating systems.
  • Willing and able to adhere to all safety and EOHS standards, and wear and utilize all personal protective equipment.
  • Provides daily assistance and support to the Plant for all plant computer hardware (includes on call coverage) including computers, servers, LAN and peripherals (mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc…).
  • Ability to work varying shifts and on-call for telephone, remote computer access, and in-plant support.
  • Experience supporting back-office and customer-facing services such as Active Directory, Domain Name System, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol servers, SQL Server, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Windows Server Update Services.
  • Experience maintaining, securing, patching, and deploying operating systems including but not limited to Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019, Windows 10, VMware.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting scripts.
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), preferably using Microsoft SQL Server and SQL reporting services.
  • Basic understanding of:

- Production Planning and Scheduling

- Inventory Management

- Planned Maintenance Concepts

- Statistical Process Control (SPC) Concepts

- Operational Excellence Standards and Expectations:

Factory Performance and Reliability (FP&R)

Quality Standards/Regulatory Requirements

- Plant Metrics such as throughput, Operating Efficiency (OE), unplanned downtime (UPDT).

  • Ability to configure and test plant systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Wonderware manufacturing software such as: o Wonderware Archestra o Wonderware MES

Salary Range $63,600 - $91,875 USD

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
