IT Support Technician (Healthcare)

Elite Technical is seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Technician with basic knowledge of the Healthcare Industry and EHR platforms. The IT Support Technician will play an integral role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing our client’s IT infrastructure while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Reporting directly to the Director of Data and Technology, this role is pivotal in ensuring seamless IT operations that support the organization’s mission of transforming healthcare delivery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • End-User Support: Provide advanced technical support to end-users, offering efficient and empathetic resolutions for hardware, software, and peripheral issues. Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems across desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and other devices. Guide users through troubleshooting and usage of mission-critical systems, including EHRs, payment platforms, patient engagement tools, Google Workspace (Gmail, Admin, etc.), and HR/IT platforms.
  • Incident Management and Continuous Improvement: Lead the triage, prioritization, and resolution of IT tickets, ensuring alignment with SLAs. Document root cause analyses for recurring issues.
  • Hardware and Software Deployment: Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues, providing strategic input for future technology investments.

User Training and Documentation: Support in new hire onboarding by completing IT checklists, setting up devices and user accounts, and conducting initial onboarding calls. Although a remote opportunity, candidates residing on the East Coast (EST/CST preferred) are sought.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT support
  • Prior experience within the healthcare industry information systems is required, with basic understanding of EHR platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Google Workspace (including Gmail)
  • Basic networking and multi-platform troubleshooting (Windows required; MacOS and Linux are a plus)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, NIST frameworks, and healthcare regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows, MacOS, and Linux environments
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Jira
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VDIs, and VPNs
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop cameras and microphones
