Job summary

ATS Companies is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team in Spokane. You will handle end-user support, troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and IT initiatives to expand department capabilities.

You will also document assets, configure equipment, and deploy standardized images. Ideal candidates have an associate degree in IT or related field, strong Windows/AD experience, and proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting skills and diagnosing technical issues.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and basic network concepts (TCP/IP).
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Proven help desk or IT support experience.
• Experience managing Windows Active Directory infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT technical support to employees and customers.
• Use a ticketing system to track issues and resolutions.
• Maintain documentation of hardware and software assets.
• Configure IT equipment (PCs, servers, switches, routers).
• Develop and deploy standard images and software packages.
• Support Microsoft 365 cloud services.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 services and related tasks
• Identify and implement efficiency projects within IT operations

As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for a range of IT functions including end-user support, complex troubleshooting, proactive system maintenance, and execution of initiatives to expand the department’s capabilities and efficiencies. You will also have the opportunity to:

• Provide IT technical support to employees and customers
• Utilize a ticketing system for support
• Keep up-to-date documentation of hardware and software assets
• Specify, order, and configure IT equipment such as PC’s, servers, switches, and routers
• Develop and deploy standardized computer images and software packages
• Maintain Active Directory objects and Global Policy Objects (GPO)
• Support Microsoft 365 cloud services (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams)
• Identify, propose, and implement efficiency gaining projects/initiatives

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCES THAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

• Associate degree or higher in IT or IT-related field
• Equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certifications
• Proven troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues
• Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• Must possess fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networks
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
• Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
• Experience managing Windows Active Directory infrastructure
• In-depth understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
• Working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control

JOB DETAILS YOU SHOULD KNOW

• Base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $85,000 and is based on experience and tenure
• This is a full time, exempt position. Typical work days are Monday-Friday
• This position involves working in an office environment with extensive use of keyboard, monitor, mouse, and other IT peripheral equipment. Occasional moving heavy computer equipment (up to 50-lbs) may be required.
• Position in based in office and does not require extensive travel
