Job summary

MedFlight is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Information Systems team. You will be the first point of contact for IT support requests and provide desk-side and remote assistance across corporate offices, remote bases, and emergency response vehicles.

You will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, while resolving hardware, software, OS, and network issues.

  • Two years of IT support experience or equivalent technical training.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests through our help desk, delivering friendly and timely customer service.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
  • Support technology used at our corporate offices, remote bases, and emergency response vehicles.
  • Install software, perform system upgrades, and ensure devices remain secure and up to date.
  • Document support requests, technical resolutions, equipment deployments, and inventory within our ticketing system.
  • Assist with hardware procurement, asset management, and lifecycle planning.
  • Travel to MedFlight and MedCare locations to provide onsite technical support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to improve system reliability, strengthen security, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in supporting Windows Server environments, virtualization technologies, backups, and network infrastructure.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree, technical training, or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Two years of IT support experience or equivalent technical training.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, troubleshooting, and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to remote MedFlight locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware.
  • Experience supporting Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, and basic networking equipment.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or VMware certifications.
