Job summary

Rocket Lab in Albuquerque is seeking a Lead IT Support who will oversee day-to-day Service Desk operations across regional facilities. You will manage up to 10 IT staff, drive incident resolution, SLA adherence, and coordinate with Infrastructure, Launch and Cybersecurity teams.

The role requires strong technical and operational skills, leadership mindset, and ability to guide projects from requirements through delivery.

Qualifications

5+ years in a support or service role with progressive responsibility and a STEM degree or equivalent (9+ years total).
Some leadership experience, including mentoring or training others.
Hands-on ITSM tools experience (Jira, ServiceNow) and ITIL-based service delivery.
Technical expertise in at least 4 areas: Windows/Linux, AD, scripting, Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization/cloud.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day functions of the Service Desk, leading a team of up to 10 IT Support staff.
Ensure priority handling, timely resolution and SLA compliance across regional facilities.
Troubleshoot complex problems and provide hands-on support for critical incidents.
Provide clear guidance to the IT support team and align with organizational goals.
