Job summary

VAA is hiring an IT Support Specialist for our Minnetonka, MN office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. This on-site role provides first-level technical assistance to staff, manages devices and accounts, and supports Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and security practices.

You will document requests, maintain asset inventory, support onboarding/offboarding, and participate in IT projects while helping build a robust knowledge base for common issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional IT experience, including at least two years providing end-user support in a Microsoft 365 and Windows environment

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical assistance to staff related to software and hardware
• Document, track, and respond to support requests via IT ticketing system; escalate when needed
• Image, configure, deploy, and retire computers and devices; install and upgrade hardware/software
• Support onboarding and offboarding; set up accounts and provision equipment
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
• Support device enrollment and app deployment through Microsoft Intune
• Apply OS and software updates; support MFA and access-control practices
• Support SharePoint Online sites and permissions; monitor endpoints and backups
• Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, wired)
• Assist with conference room and Teams technology; train end-users as needed
• Create knowledge base articles and maintain IT asset/software license inventory
• Participate in IT projects

IT Support Specialist (On-site)

Location: This is a full-time, on-site position in our Minnetonka, MN office, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Our growing firm is seeking passionate problem-solvers who are driven to make a real impact. We're hiring an IT Support Specialist! The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support related to VAA's environment by responding to end-user questions, monitoring day-to-day operations, isolating problems, and identifying and implementing solutions.

Your role:

• Provide first-level technical assistance to staff related to software programs and hardware, such as laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
• Document, track and respond to all support requests through the IT ticketing system, escalating complex issues to systems, network, or vendor resources as appropriate.
• Image, configure, deploy, and retire computers and devices, and install and upgrade hardware and software.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, equipment provisioning, new user orientation, and timely removal of access.
• Manage user accounts, groups and permissions in Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and other systems.
• Support device enrollment, compliance, and application deployment through Microsoft Intune.
• Apply operating system and software updates and security patches and support multi-factor authentication (MFA) and access-control practices.
• Support SharePoint Online sites and permissions.
• Monitor endpoints, alerts, and backups.
• Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and wired connections.
• Support conference room and Microsoft Teams meeting technology.
• Train end-users, as needed, on hardware functionality and software programs.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and documentation for common issues and procedures.
• Help document and maintain an inventory of IT assets and software licenses.
• Participate in IT projects.

Your resume must include:

• Minimum of three years of professional IT experience, including at least two years providing end-user support in a Microsoft 365 and Windows environment

Starting Salary Range: $25.00 - $40.00. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
