Job summary

CFD Research seeks an experienced IT Support role to deliver courteous, professional assistance to users and internal stakeholders.

You will coordinate computing resources, install required software, and mentor colleagues to ensure efficient operation of desktops and servers.

Qualifications

• US Citizen required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years in PC support/Help Desk, or 7+ years without a degree.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Windows Domain; IT, Firewalls, LAN; Linux a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional support to users and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate setup of computing resources and installation of software.
• Mentor other team members as needed.
• Respond promptly to internal user requests for support and troubleshooting.
• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user/multi-platform desktops and servers.
• Monitor and manage CPU, disk usage, and response times.

Job Description:

• Provide courteous and professional support to users and internal stakeholders


• Coordinate setting up of computing resources and installation of required software


• Mentor other members of the team as needed


• Efficient timely, and effective response to internal user requests for support/troubleshooting while adhering to internal operating procedures


• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user/multi-platform computer systems for desktops and server environment


• Monitor and manage system resources, (e.g. CPU usage, disk usage, and response times)

Basic Qualifications:

• Candidate must be a US Citizen


• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance


• Position requires at least a Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience (or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree) in PC Support and/or Help Desk environment


• Knowledge of Window operating systems, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365 Suite, Window Domain architecture, Information Technology, Firewalls, and effective knowledge of both wired and wireless Local Area Network technologies. Linux experience is a plus.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in implementation and maintenance of CMMC guidelines strongly preferred


• Experience with basic support of Linux in a production environment a plus


• Experience in a small business environment is a plus

This role is 100% onsite in the Dayton/ Beavercreek, OH office.
