Job summary

Zillow Group in the United States is seeking an Associate Specialist, Desktop Systems to support day-to-day end-user computing by maintaining workstations, peripherals and standard software, and resolving routine issues under close supervision.

You will configure, deploy, and decommission laptops and desktops, perform basic troubleshooting for network and account access, and keep accurate asset records to support lifecycle management. This is an office role requiring onsite presence.

About the team

The Associate Specialist, Desktop Systems supports day‑to‑day end‑user computing by maintaining workstations, peripherals, and standard software, resolving routine technical issues, and completing well‑defined service requests under close supervision. This role focuses on delivering reliable, high‑quality desktop support so Zillow employees can work productively and securely.

About the role

• Respond to and resolve routine desktop support requests for hardware, operating systems, and standard applications, escalating non‑routine issues as needed.
• Configure, deploy, and decommission laptops, desktops, and peripherals by following established imaging, setup, and security procedures.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for network connectivity, printing, and account access issues, documenting steps taken and outcomes in the ticketing system.
• Complete well‑defined maintenance tasks such as software installs, updates, and basic device checks in line with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate asset and configuration information for end‑user devices to support inventory tracking and lifecycle management.

This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within reasonable commuting distance of their designated ZG office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $28.70 - $45.90 hourly. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia the standard base pay range for this role is $27.30 - $43.50 hourly. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.

Who you are

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in desktop support, end‑user computing, or a related technical support role.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
