Summary

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. This includes hardware, software, networks, and security, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of technology. You will be involved in providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and contribute to the overall technology strategy. You will be responsible for managing lifecycle of IT assets, user accounts, and access permissions.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including server uptime, network speed, and security protocols.
  • Install and set up new computer systems, servers, workstations, applications, and other equipment based on company needs.
  • Manage lifecycle of IT assets, including purchasing, configuring, and distributing technology equipment such as laptops, desktops, printers.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to manage software licenses, hardware procurement, and service delivery.
  • Ensure regular backup and recovery of critical business data, setting up disaster recovery protocol when necessary.
  • Implement software updates, patches, and security fixes to protect systems from vulnerabilities.
  • Perform regular diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and fix system errors and inefficiencies.
  • Responsible for user provisioning by granting and revoking appropriate access rights and permissions based on roles and responsibilities. Communicating effectively with internal teams (HR, security, vendors), regarding provisioning requests and status updates.
  • Ensure all provisioning activities are compliant with company policies, industry regulations, and security best practices.
  • Documentation of configuration and procedures for all provisioning activities to maintain accurate records and support auditing and compliance requirement.
  • Manage employee training program for Cyber Security and other needs.
  • Provide technical IT support to staff and resolve IT-related issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with network management concepts and provisioning systems.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles and tools. Active Directory and Domain Controller Administration. Experience with Google Workspace and MS Office.
  • Project management skills, especially in IT infrastructure projects.
  • Experience writing and maintaining SOP.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills, especially managing time-sensitive tasks.
  • Self-starter able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with non-technical team members.
  • Adhere to the company's safety protocol and policies.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT support, system/network administration.
  • 1+ year of experience in IT provisioning (preferably in a public company).
  • Knowledge of data protection operations and laws (GDPR) preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Location:
  • Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
  • Be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • May be required to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull.
  • May need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator and safety shoes.
  • Work performed in an office environment and requires ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Comprehensive compensation package includes base salary + generous RSUs. Salary range for this role is $116,000 - $132,000 annually. Base salary will be determined based on knowledge, experience, and education.
