Job summary

Telos Corporation is seeking an IT Support/Asset Technician based in Butterfield, TX to maintain printers and PC hardware, update asset records, and support network operations. The role requires basic IT training and 1–2 years of related experience, with eligibility for a DOD Public Trust Clearance.

You will interact with clients, relocate equipment, assist with data backups, and ensure compliant IT operations within a secure environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and basic IT training completed.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• DOD Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain printers and related equipment.
• Move/relocate equipment within facilities.
• Interview clients during asset discovery in pre-deployment.
• Repair/replace defective equipment and update asset records.
• Install and maintain PC hardware/software and configuration profiles.
• Troubleshoot network usage and peripherals; perform backups and data recovery.

This position will be based at Butterfield, TX.
Under Direct Guidance Duties Include

• Operation and Maintenance of various high speed/ high-capacity multifunction printers
• Moving/relocating equipment within and/or between facilities
• Interviewing clients as part of pre-deployment asset discovery
• Repair/replace defective equipment
• Updating asset management system to reflect work performed
• Installing and maintaining PC hardware and software and applying specific configuration profiles
• Troubleshooting network usage and computer peripherals
• Performing system backups and data recovery
• Resolving network communication problems
• E-mail administration
• Network security
• Preparing assets for disposition and other administrative duties.
• Network operations and maintenance
• Familiarity with inside and outside plant operations
• Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
• Familiarity with cabling and splicing, etc.
  

Education

• High school diploma
• Basic training in IT support, to include relevant on the job training
• 1-2 years relative experience
• DOD Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and excellent organizational skills are required.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required.
• A professional attitude regarding attention to detail
• Accurate and timely submission of required reports, documentation, etc.
• Licensed and able to drive a vehicle
  

**Ability to climb a 10ft ladder and lift at least 40lbs**
