Job summary

A-C Electric Company invites applications for a 10-week Information Technology Summer Internship in Bakersfield, CA. You will work with the IT team on hardware/software troubleshooting, user support, network administration, cybersecurity, and process improvements.

Qualified students will demonstrate strong communication, organizational and collaborative skills, with a focus on engineering and construction IT contexts. Relocation to Bakersfield is required.

Qualifications

• Full-time 40 hours/week for 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Enrolled student with expected graduation by August 2029.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to office and field staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with new user setup, device configuration, software installation, and account management.
• Support network administration tasks such as monitoring performance and managing access controls.
• Help maintain IT asset inventory and software licenses.
