Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Senior Epic Application Analyst to optimize Epic ClinDoc, Stork, and ASAP workflows across inpatient services.

Job Summary:

• Application systems expert in multiple or highly specialized phases of application systems analysis, design, implementation, and support.
• Formulates, defines, and performs complex analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-wide information systems (IS) functionality.
• Responsible for Epic application modules and third party applications; designs and, customizes tables and screens; builds databases; and tests, “debugs,” upgrades, and documents information systems’ functionality under department management’s supervision.
• Utilizes and applies knowledge of process-flow analysis and major business automation functions to evaluate such needs.
• Designs and implements highly complex solutions using a variety of technologies in a supportable and scalable manner.
• Mentors IT/Application Svcs Analysts.
• Provides a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that continually improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients’ experiences.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Position Summary

The Senior Epic Application Analyst specializes in the complex configuration, optimization, and maintenance of EpicCare Inpatient ClinDoc, Stork, and ASAP workflows. This critical role ensures operational continuity, system stability, and patient safety across Inpatient Clinical Services and the Women’s and Children’s Service Line.

The analyst supports a broad, high-acuity care continuum, including Labor & Delivery (L&D), OBED, OR, NICU, OB Outpatient Procedures, and complex registration/patient flow workflows.

Technical Scope & Complexity

This position manages the highly intricate technical intersection between foundational nursing, highly regulated obstetrics, and emergency workflows:

• Stork & ClinDoc Integration: Designing and supporting shared inpatient flowsheets, specialized tracking boards, dynamic navigators, and complex cross-charting logic.
• OBED & ASAP Intersect: Managing specialized ASAP tracking boards, urgent ED navigators, and rapid arrival workflows that seamlessly transition into Stork charts upon inpatient admission.
• Peripheral Integration: Serving as the technical liaison for critical third-party systems, specifically the Obix fetal monitoring application and hardware and other Bedside Medical Devices (SpaceLabs, MindRay, Medtronic, and WelchAllyn).

Key Responsibilities

• System Configuration: Independently build, test, and maintain Epic ClinDoc, Stork, and ASAP applications to support clinical workflows.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve critical system failures independently, maintaining a high level of system availability and performance.
• Project Leadership: Lead complex optimization projects and upgrades from inception through successful implementation.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with OB/GYN and Emergency clinical leadership to align system build with operational needs.

Qualifications & Certifications

Required

• Epic Certifications: Current certifications in EpicCare Inpatient ClinDoc, Stork, and ASAP.
• Experience: Proven experience managing complex cross-application workflows and third-party integrations (e.g., Obix).
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, project management skills, and the communication skills necessary to collaborate with clinical leaders.

Preferred

• Care Everywhere: Understanding of Care Everywhere integration; an active Care Everywhere certification is ideal.
