Job summary

Bureau of Naval Personnel seeks a senior network engineer to act as the principal technical authority for prototyping, developing, implementing, optimizing, and providing lifecycle management for centralized and distributed IT networks. Job description

  • You will serve as the principal technical authority responsible for prototyping, developing, implementing, optimizing, and providing lifecycle management for all centralized and distributed IT network resources.

Duties

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing lifecycle management for all centralized and distributed IT network resources (hardware and software) serving the enterprise; 2) Managing the engineering of core distribution networks, routing protocols, switching capabilities, data center layouts, and distribution room infrastructures; 3) Overseeing technical aspects of large-scale network infrastructure projects from inception to completion; and 4) Implementing robust protections and network defense protocols across wired, wireless, and cellular spaces.
