This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT).

As an IT Specialist (AI), GS-2210-13, you will build platforms that streamline the end-to-end Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning lifecycle, manage resources, automate workflows, and ensure compliance and governance.

Basic Requirement:

In order to qualify for the GS-13, you must meet the following:

1. Evaluating Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases, developing implementation best practices, or supporting adoption of AI solutions across development teams to improve efficiency and program operations;
2. Facilitating discussions with product owners and business stakeholders to analyze program requirements, identify opportunities for Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) solutions, or developing mission-aligned approaches that improved business operations and supported cost-effective outcomes;
3. Providing technical guidance to data engineering teams (including contractors and vendors) on the design, implementation, maintenance, or improvement to support machine learning lifecycle management; AND
4. Assisting with deploying AI/ML models into production environments and monitoring model performance and compliance throughout the model lifecycle
