Job summary

BENTELER is seeking an IT Technician for our Shreveport site to support local IT infrastructure and user needs. You will ensure security compliance and implement operational IT procedures for local services.

You will provide 2nd level support, coordinate with Service Desk, and assist with hardware installations and maintenance in a production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• AA/AS in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year proven experience as IT technician.
• Experience with IT ticket systems (ServiceNow) and software distribution (MS Intune).
• Experience with Office and production IT; industrial printers and scanners.
• Excellent communication, time management, planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures IT systems, tools and procedures comply with BENTELER IT Security policies and standards.
• Implement operational procedures for local IT services.
• Administrates, documents, and optimizes local IT infrastructure services on a basic level.
• Monitors local IT infrastructure services to prevent incidents and report risks.
• Coordinates external suppliers.
• Executes 2nd level support: user support for Windows apps; liaises with Service Desk; creates and tracks tickets.
• Installs BENTELER standard hardware, phones and production printers as directed.
• Moves hardware and installs hardware into cabinets.

• When directed, installation of BENTELER standard hardware, phone and Prod. printers.
• Moving hardware, installation of hardware into cabinets.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• AA/AS in IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year proven experience as IT technician.
• Experience with IT Ticket system, preferable ServiceNow, Software Distribution, preferable MS intune.
• Expereinece with Office and Production IT, preferable experience in a production environment.
• Expereince with Industrial Printers, Industrial scanners, and User support in an industrial environment.
• Excellent communication, time management, planning, and organizational skills.
