Job summary

Novig, based in Union Square, NYC, seeks an IT Specialist to own IT end-to-end—from devices and networks to AV and general sysadmin. You will work with security to embed protections as the company scales and evolves.

In this startup, you’ll influence IT strategy, partnering across teams to keep systems reliable. Flexibility for occasional after-hours support may be required as live sports events shape our schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience owning IT end-to-end in a startup environment.
• Strong networking, device provisioning, patching, inventory, and support capabilities.
• Ability to work with security teams on endpoint protection and access controls.
• Experience managing AV setups for meetings and events.
• Comfort handling HVAC vendor relations and office infrastructure.

About the Role

This is a startup, so the role won't stay static. You will own IT end-to-end, including devices, network, AV, and general sysadmin work, with real say in how it evolves. You will also work closely with security, so this role suits someone who wants their IT work to have a security-minded component. The scope of this position will grow along with the company.

Who you are and what you will do

• Manage our device fleet, including provisioning, patching, inventory, and support for a growing team
• Administer our network infrastructure: routers, switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and general security hygiene
• Run our AV setup for meetings and events, and manage relationships with AV vendors
• Handle core sysadmin work, including user accounts, permissions, backups, and system monitoring
• Help assist with the management of our HVAC system and vendor
• Partner closely with security on endpoint protection, access controls, and policy
• Serve as the go-to person for IT support, troubleshooting quickly and clearly without a large team behind you
