Job summary

Wipfli LLP in Chicago is seeking an IT Solution Consultant II to design and implement solutions that improve clients’ business processes and IT environments. This role blends technical delivery with consultative client engagement, with optional 100% in-person or hybrid work in the Chicago area and roughly 15% travel to IL and WI.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of technology solutions experience, Azure/AD proficiency, and either a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of technology solutions experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Active Directory.
• Experience working on-site with up to 15% travel in the U.S.
• Possesses or works towards advanced certifications.
• Strong blend of technical expertise and consultative ability.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as a level-three escalation resource for complex service desk issues and coordinate with internal teams.
• Assess client environments across Microsoft 365, Azure, AD, SharePoint, endpoints, servers, and cloud apps.
• Document and maintain client roadmaps, security reviews, and improvement plans with clear findings.
• Lead client maintenance and security reviews by analyzing reports and gaps.
• Identify risks and modernization opportunities; present actionable recommendations.
• Scope, price, and monitor project work plans, budgets, timelines, and out-of-scope requests.
• Communicate status, risks, and solutions to project leadership and clients.
• Participate in R&D to position the team for innovative market solutions.
