The IT Clinical Apps – Cerner Reporting team is responsible for creating, maintaining and supporting custom CCL programming, including reporting, operations jobs, and various other areas of the system. The applicant should possess a strong understanding of Cerner Millennium applications. There is a high demand for resourcing from our team for creation of functionality outside of the box and we are required to be highly creative and provide innovative solutions for our diverse customer base. In a remote role, you will be expected to act professionally and be available during business hours.

Position Type: Level IV Analyst with informal leadership responsibilities, expectation to mentor junior members and lead large projects. Employment terms described as remote, with responsibilities that support Banner Health's operational and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
  1. As a level IV Analyst, perform as an informal leader on the team in addition to your independent workload. This includes conducting intake design reviews, offering creative solutions for requested functionality, and using CCL to create innovative, custom solutions. Act as a team leader for large projects and mentor junior members of the team.
  2. Handle high-profile items and short timelines with disciplined focus; contribute to operational and strategic initiatives and Banner’s transformation to provide excellent patient care.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to define, design and modify specifications and processes of complex information systems. Establish system documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies for systems and applications. Maintain current professional and technical knowledge.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm AZ Time. This is a fully remote position available in specified states.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Must possess strong technical and business knowledge as typically obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Sciences, Process Engineering, Business, Healthcare, Information Systems or related field. Requires a minimum of seven plus years of experience or equivalent in areas such as reporting and/or analytics in clinical, financial, insurance, utilization, patient satisfaction, supply chain, HR, clinical application configuration, or related field. Must possess significant knowledge of cross-functional departments to serve as a liaison and provide guidance or leadership. Strong project management, independent work capability, ability to manage large/ multiple projects and complex reports. Excellent communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Strong technical skills appropriate for the position (SQL/ANSI SQL, SAS, Tableau, Excel, clinical software applications, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Cerner Millennium system at both the clinical and financial levels.
  • Expert knowledge of CCL programming including creating/scheduling reports, data extracts to be sent to 3rd parties, Custom Operations jobs, UDTs and Smart Templates.
  • Expertise with Discern Analytics 2, including creating and scheduling reports.
  • Experience creating custom Smart Templates/UDTs and with PowerInsight.
  • Experience building HealtheAnalytics and/or CUAR Reports.
  • Experience with system implementation and project management. Experience with Cerner, NextGen, Centricity, TSI, Quality Advisor, SAS or SSRS; advanced report writing applications. Master’s degree or PhD in Math, Statistics, or related healthcare technical field. Advanced knowledge in area of expertise. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
