Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an IT Software Engineer 2 – Salesforce Software Engineer in Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; or Dallas, TX. The position is hybrid, with 1–2 days onsite, and may transition to full-time onsite in the future. This is a 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client.

Compensation is up to $72/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay). The schedule is Monday–Friday, first shift.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of Salesforce development experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring and deploying solutions on the Salesforce Platform.
• Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), data modeling, and Salesforce security.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications, APIs, middleware, identity providers, and external systems.
• Understanding of Salesforce governance, platform limits, release management, and scalable solution design.
• Experience with Git, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and enterprise software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Configure and customize Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud, including Flow and automation capabilities.
• Develop integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, Platform Events, identity providers, and event-driven architecture.
• Analyze business and technical requirements, troubleshoot application and integration issues, and optimize Salesforce security, performance, and access controls.
• Participate in Agile development, code reviews, testing, release planning, CI/CD, technical documentation, production support, and continuous platform improvement.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Salesforce Software Engineer to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions supporting digital platforms, customer experiences, and enterprise business processes. This role will focus on Salesforce application development, platform configuration, automation, integrations, APIs, security, and data modeling. The engineer will work closely with product owners, architects, administrators, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customize solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud, including Salesforce Flow and other automation capabilities.
• Develop integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, Platform Events, identity providers, and event-driven architecture.

• Experience with Git, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and enterprise software development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, or Experience Cloud.
• Experience with Experience Cloud development and Sales Cloud/Service Cloud configuration.
• Familiarity with Marketing Cloud integrations and broader Salesforce platform capabilities.
• Experience with Salesforce integration architecture, API development, DevOps automation, and enterprise-scale implementations.
• Strong technical documentation, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
