Job summary

CompTech Computer Technologies is seeking an IT Service Desk Specialist - Level I to serve as the first point of contact for end users at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Hampton, VA. The role requires on-site presence, a Secret clearance, and reliable customer service.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, document incidents, and follow standard procedures while engaging with users of varying technical skills. AAs or military training are acceptable, with CompTIA A+ or Security+ preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive IT help desk or service desk experience.
• Experience troubleshooting client hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with IT service management ticketing systems and incident tracking.
• Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for customers needing technical assistance with hardware, software, and IT issues.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve Tier I problems following established procedures.
• Create, track, and document incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical teams and provide timely status updates.
